Being blocked can be compared to being placed in a digital penal box. You won’t see the tweets of the person you block, nor will they see yours unless you click an additional button. You won’t see their tweets or account in search results. They can’t be tagged in photos and you can’t directly message them.
How to spot if someone has blocked you on Twitter?
There is no way to see the names of everyone who has blocked you from Twitter, for good or ill. You need to look at each account individually to determine if you are being blocked.
1. Use the search box on your phone or computer to locate the account you suspect is blocking you from Twitter. You might not see their name if they are actually blocked.
2. If you click on their profile, you won’t be able to see their tweets if they are being blocked. Instead, you will see a message saying “You’re blocked.” You cannot follow or see the tweets of [the blocker].
How to find out how many people blocked you?
This is done using an app called Blolook, which connects to your Twitter account in order to show you how many blocked messages you have received. While it won’t tell you who blocked you, it will show you how many accounts.
1. Go to The Blolook Website from your phone or computer, and then tap Log In with Twitter.
2. Authorize the app to connect to your Twitter account. This page may require you to log in again to Twitter.
3. Scroll to the Account box once you have been authorized. You’ll also see Accounts that are blocking you. It will also show how many of these blocks have been mutual . This means that both you and your blocked accounts are mutual .
